SKI AREAS

Canterbury offers an amazing selection of commercial and club ski fields. There is something for everyone whether your linking your first turns on the groomed runs, hitting the park or cutting first tracks through fresh powder. The ski areas listed are within 2hrs drive of Christchurch making an easy day trip from the city. 

The club fields which are run by members and volunteers, offer discounts to members and are also open to the public. The facilities may be small but character abounds. The club fields offer back-to-basics skiing, with a friendly atmosphere, no queues, terrain for everyone and freshies that last for days. They also have accommodation right on the mountain -not found at other ski resorts.
