With wide-open terrain and a variety of runs, Mt Hutt enjoys the longest and most consistent season in the Southern Hemisphere. The ski area is 118km or 1.5 hours drive from Christchurch and 40 minutes drive from Methven. The lifts include a magic carpet, Novice quad chair, 6 seater detachable and a triple chair. There is extensive snow making, 2 half pipes and a large terrain park. The base facilities include a Cafe and restaurant, rental and repairs shop and guest storage.

Open early June to late October.
