Porter's is the closest ski area to
Christchurch, it is 96 km or 1 hour's drive North West
from the city. Porters has terrain for everyone.
Advanced skiers and boarders know it best for legendary runs
Bluff Face and Big Mama boasting a vertical drop of 620m.
Elevation 1980m over 500ha of skiable terrain. Learners will
love the new magic carpet and intermediates love the
consistant fall line. The lifts include 3 T-bars, 1 Platter, 1
magic carpet. All the main runs are groomed overnight and
there is snowmaking and terrain park features. The base
facilities include a new cafe and rental and
repairs.
Porters is open late June through to the
beginning of
October.
